Terms & Conditions

1.1 By participating in the VAX UK Product Tester Scheme ("Scheme"), you confirm that you are aged 18 or over and resident in the UK.

1.2. The terms of this Agreement govern your participation in this Scheme for a floorcare appliance that is either currently available on the market or in pre-release and not yet commercially available, (“Product”). By applying to participate, you agree to these terms in this Agreement.

1.3. For the avoidance of doubt, the Product(s) are final and approved for sale, meeting all applicable legal, safety and compliance requirements. However, not all Product(s) have been released for sale during the Scheme Period, therefore this Scheme gives Participants early access to the Product(s). The Product you receive is identical to the retail version.

1.4. Products are covered by Vax’s standard warranty terms.

1.5. Participants will also be subject to the Terms of Use on the Vax website found here and the Participant’s personal data will be processed in accordance with the Vax’s Privacy Statement available here

2.1. This Scheme is applicable to residents in the UK who are aged 18 years or over at the date of entry. The Scheme will be void and non-applicable where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable local laws accordingly.

2.2. Employees, officers, and directors of Vax and its affiliated companies or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Scheme or helping to set up the Scheme shall not be permitted to enter the Scheme, and any such entries will be deemed as void.

2.3. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are entitled to participate and proof of eligibility may be required and Product(s) withheld until Vax is fully satisfied the above criteria are met.

2.4. Participants must not be employed by a competitor or have any association with another manufacturer or competitor of Vax.

2.5. Participation in the Scheme is available on a first come first served basis. A maximum of 100 products are available to be redeemed by Participants after which the Scheme will cease to exist.

3.1. The Scheme begins at the time and date of submitting your application and ends at the end of the product guarantee period. Guarantee will be automatically registered and confirmation will be provided at the application stage and post purchase, (the “Scheme Period”).

3.2. To enter the Scheme, Participants must follow the following instructions:

(i) Participants must visit the Scheme webpage on the Vax website at https://vip.vax.co.uk/ to sign-up and complete the application process and provide accurate information which includes full name, email address and optional submission of Age, and Social Handles.

(ii) Within 45 days of signing-up/applying to the Scheme, Participants will be notified of the outcome of their application decided by a selection process. Successful Participants will be invited via email to purchase the Product at the exclusive VIP reduced price quoted within the email invite. This price may differ from the current sale price on the Vax website as indicated on the Scheme page and will only be available until stocks last. During this purchase, Vax will confirm the available incentive offer which includes a refund amount that Participants are eligible to redeem if they complete the Scheme and submit a Qualifying Review via the specified method in clause 3.2(iii).

(iii) Participants agree to test, evaluate and review the applicable Vax products (such as carpet washers, cordless and corded vacuums, with other floorcare products) within the specified timeline outlined on the Scheme webpage. Failure to provide such reviews within the specified timeline may affect Participant’s eligibility for the applicable incentive offer outlined in clause 3.2(ii) as well as current and future testing opportunities with Vax.

3.3. Any refund amounts, as specified in clause 3.2(ii), will be processed after verification and returned to the original payment method within 7 working days. An email confirmation will also be sent to all successful Participants confirming that the refund amount has been issued.

3.4. Refunds are non-transferable beyond the original payment and valid only for purchases made through Vax’s official website. Failure to provide Qualifying Reviews within the stated period will result in loss of eligibility for the refund and any other applicable incentives.

3.5. For the avoidance of doubt, there is only one entry per email address for each Scheme.

3.6. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or the like will not be accepted. Vax will not accept cheating in any form including the use of macros or other automated means of entry, masking of identity by manipulating IP addresses, using any false identity or any other behaviour that falls outside the spirit of the Scheme (to be determined at Vax’s absolute discretion). Any Participant found to be cheating will be excluded.

3.7. Vax accepts no responsibility for entries not received, deleted, altered or that are invalid, regardless of the reason. These Terms are in addition to Vax’s full Terms and Conditions.

4.1. with respect to the Qualifying Reviews, Participants represent and warrant that: (i) The Qualifying Review, including the Participants submission of it, does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity. (ii) As applicable, the Participant has used the Product, to which the Qualifying Review relates, in accordance with Vax’s instructions; and (iii) the Qualifying Review reflects the Participant’s honest opinions, findings, beliefs and experiences about or with the Product to which the Qualifying Review relates.

4.2. Participants understand and agree that any and all intellectual property, and the rights therein, including any and all ideas, inventions (whether or not patentable), concepts, drawings, and other items or materials thought of or created as a result of their evaluation activities here under, whether created or thought of by the Participant or with someone else, shall be assigned to Vax. Accordingly, Participants agree that said intellectual property and the rights therein are automatically assigned to Vax on a royalty free and irrevocable basis, and if not automatically assigned for any reason including by operation of law or otherwise, Participants agree to assign said intellectual property and the rights therein to Vax without any additional compensation or other consideration of any kind being due to the Participant.

4.3. Vax shall be free to use or disseminate the Qualifying Review on an unrestricted basis for any purpose, including marketing activities and promotional campaigns.

5.1. By taking part in the Scheme, Participants personal data will be processed in line with Vax’s Privacy Statement found at https://www.vax.co.uk/privacy-policy. Participant information will be used to manage their participation in the Scheme, keep Participants informed about products, and share relevant updates and exclusive offers from Vax.

5.2. Participants may opt out of communications or withdraw from the Scheme at any time via the unsubscribe link available in each communication sent by Vax or by contacting the customer service team via: https://www.vax.co.uk/contact. Please note that opting out may affect Participant eligibility to continue in the program.

5.3. Participation in the Scheme includes receiving product-related content and relevant purchasing opportunities for up to 12 months following the initial purchase. This 12 month communication period is separate from Participants general marketing preferences with Vax

5.4 Vax reserves the right to contact all Participants to verify their personal data. For the avoidance of doubt, any entry made in relation to the Scheme as set out at clause 3 will be deemed to have given consent for Vax to process all personal data as defined under the current applicable data protection legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6.1. Details of unreleased products and Participant’s experience during this Scheme must be kept confidential unless explicitly permitted to share by Vax. In which case Participants are to follow brand guidelines.

7.1. Nothing in this Agreement limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

7.2. Vax is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from Participant’s participation in the Scheme, except where required by law.

7.3. Participants are responsible for using the products safely and following all product manuals and instructions.

VAX UK reserves the right to remove any participant from the Scheme for breach of these Terms or misuse of products or data.

VAX UK may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of significant changes.

These Terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

11.1. This Agreement does not create any agency or partnership relationship between the parties.

11.2. This Agreement is not assignable or transferable by the Participant.

11.3. Should any provisions of this Agreement be held by a court of law to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the legality, validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Agreement will not be affected or impaired thereby.

11.4. The section headings contained in this Agreement are for reference purposes only and shall not affect the meaning or interpretation of this Agreement.

11.5. The failure or delay of TTI to exercise any of its rights under this Agreement or upon any breach of this Agreement shall not be deemed a waiver of those rights or of the breach.

11.6.This Agreement contains the complete agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements or understandings, whether oral or written.
